Uninstalling

DataSabi is two packages: the desktop app and the collector service. Uninstall both.

Ubuntu / Debian

To remove both the app and the service (usage history is kept):

terminal
sudo apt remove data-sabi datasabi-collector

To also delete your usage history (the local database at /var/lib/datasabi):

terminal
sudo apt purge data-sabi datasabi-collector

What remove does: uninstalls the packages and stops the service. Your usage history and the datasabi system user are kept.

What purge does: everything remove does, plus it deletes /var/lib/datasabi and all recorded usage. The datasabi system user is still kept — Debian policy keeps system users after package removal.

Fedora

terminal
sudo dnf remove DataSabi datasabi-collector

Note the capital D in DataSabi for the Fedora package name.

DNF has no equivalent of apt purge. To remove your usage history after uninstalling:

terminal
sudo rm -rf /var/lib/datasabi

The datasabi system user will remain on the system after removal.
