Full release history is on GitHub releases. This page summarises the key changes per version.

v0.1.5

App: v0.1.5 · Collector: v0.1.5

  • Includes collector 0.1.5 — reinstall the collector to get these changes:
    • Apps are named after their main shortcut, not a hidden URL handler: "Visual Studio Code" and "Claude Code" instead of "… URL Handler"
    • Clearer names for command-line tools: "GitHub CLI" (gh) and "Node.js" (node)
    • Apps already in your history pick up the new name the next time they use the network
    • Networks: only the network you're connected to is marked active; a renamed connection no longer shows twice as active
  • Alerts no longer show the "Block — coming soon" button

v0.1.4

App: v0.1.4 · Collector: v0.1.3

  • Closing the window now hides DataSabi to the system tray — the app keeps running and alerts stay active
  • Tray menu: Show DataSabi (brings the window back) and Quit DataSabi
  • Start-at-login toggle in Settings (enabled automatically on first run)
  • Opening DataSabi while it's already running focuses the existing window instead of starting a second copy
  • Login launch starts the app hidden in the tray, not as a visible window
  • Clearer update dialog buttons
  • Desktop notifications: the package now installs notify-send automatically (libnotify-bin / libnotify)
  • Includes collector 0.1.3: friendlier names for Android Emulator (QEMU) and Gradle — reinstall the collector to get them

v0.1.2

App: v0.1.2 · Collector: v0.1.1

  • Update dialog: shows an error and lets you close it if a download fails

v0.1.1

App: v0.1.1 · Collector: v0.1.1

  • Added in-app update check — DataSabi now checks for a new version on startup and prompts you to install it
  • Desktop alerts now use notify-send
  • Collector: inline script names now fall back to the script's binary name when the script path can't be resolved

v0.1.0

App: v0.1.0 · Collector: v0.1.0

  • Per-app network usage: today, this week, this month
  • Live upload/download rates per process
  • Desktop notifications when an app crosses a metered-data threshold
  • Metered / unlimited toggle per network
