This Privacy Policy explains how Arkodeon Technologies Ltd (“Arkodeon“, “we“, “us“, or “our“) collects, uses, stores, and protects information about you when you use our services. It applies to all Arkodeon products, platforms, and services — including our website (arkodeon.com), MarketLogger, any future applications or SaaS platforms we operate, and any IT consulting or technology services we provide.

By using any Arkodeon service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

We only collect information that we genuinely need to provide you with our services.

2.1 Information You Give Us Directly

• Contact information — your name, email address, and phone number when you reach out to us or submit an inquiry.
• Account information — when you create an account on any Arkodeon product.
• Business and financial records — within products like MarketLogger, the trading data, inventory records, and savings contributions you enter. This data belongs to you.
• Communication records — when you contact our support or send us a message.

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

• Device information — device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
• Usage data — how you interact with our applications, collected to improve the product, not to profile you.
• Log data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps when you visit our website.

2.3 Identity Verification (Agent Program)

If you apply to become a MarketLogger Agent, we additionally collect a photograph of one government-issued ID (your NIN slip, Voter's Card, or Driver's License) and a selfie photo, to verify your identity before you are permitted to onboard traders and earn commission. These images are reviewed only by internal Arkodeon staff. We do not transcribe or store your ID number as searchable text.

4.1 Local-First Architecture

Arkodeon's products are built offline-first. For products like MarketLogger, your data is stored primarily on your device. Your data does not leave your device unless you choose to enable cloud synchronisation.

4.2 Optional Cloud Synchronisation

Where a product offers optional cloud backup, your data is transmitted to Arkodeon-managed servers located in Nigeria. This feature is always opt-in — never automatic.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent it. We do not share it with advertisers.

5.1 Service Providers

We may share data with carefully selected third-party service providers — for example, Paystack (payments) and Africa's Talking (communications). These providers are bound by contractual data processing agreements. Agent Program identity verification documents (ID photos, selfies) are reviewed only by internal Arkodeon staff and are never shared with these or any other third party.

5.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by Nigerian law, court order, or lawful request from a government authority.

5.3 With Your Consent

We may share your data with third parties in any other circumstance only with your explicit, informed consent.

Under the NDPR and NDPA 2023, you have the following rights:

• Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations.
• Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
• Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Right to lodge a complaint — with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Our services are not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at contact@arkodeon.com and we will delete it promptly.

8.1 What We Use

• Strictly necessary cookies — essential for the website to function. Cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors interact with our website. Data is aggregated and anonymous. You can always decline these.

8.2 What We Do Not Use

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any technology designed to build a profile of you for advertising purposes.

Our products may integrate with third-party services including Paystack and Africa's Talking. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, and access controls.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date, post a notice on our website, and where required, notify you directly by email.
